 | Welded and stiched hemming (Exclusive) All Aquamatic safety
covers are manufactured with welded and stitched hemmings. The
hemming is initially lock-stitched and then welded to the fabric
material for extra security. A unique method is used to prevent any
of the stitching from being present on the underside of the material
thus prevent any excess wear and tear. Along with the slider
mechanism, the hemming plays a pivotal role in the running and
security of a safety cover system.
| | | | Cover Treatment (Exclusive) ‘Cover treatment’ is applied
to the underside of the fabric material to reduce ‘deck drag’. Deck
drag is the result of water or condensation collecting on the
underside of the cover material, preventing free movement over hard
surface areas such as paving or smooth coping stones when the cover
is in operation. Cover treatment is a result of many years
experimentation with various types of mesh treatments. Aquamatic
have their mesh formulated especially for their own cover system.
Cover treatment can also be applied for free form shaped pools,
rectangle pools with step units either on the end or the side of the
pool! Cover treatment in some instances, can replace the need for
installing an air system that is used on a free form shaped pools
i.e large paved deck areas. Note- using a cover treatment method may
cause excessive wear on Sliders and End Stop Guides and in some
cases yearly replacements are required. These parts are relatively
low cost and can be changed easily by the dealer.
| | | | Rain Water Removal System (Exclusive) Every outdoor AQM
cover has a built-in rain water screen mesh. Having this facility
removes the necessity for the use of a cover pump every time it
rains! However, if there is an excessive amount of water on the
cover, a cover pump is supplied to enable this water to be removed.
Throughout the winter period, we advise that a cover pump is used
continuously to prevent water build up when the pool is generally
not in use.

Aquamatic A.S.T.M Certification The material used
substantially exceeds the ASTM (USA Safety Requirement) standards
set forth for safety covers of the type manufactured and distributed
by this company. The ASTM F-346-91 requirements are as follows:The
cover and fabric installed on the swimming pool filled to its normal
water level shall be capable of supporting weight of 485 lbs. This
total weight shall be composed of one 210lb, one 225lb and one 50lb
weight, each distributed over a one square foot area and all three
contained within a three foot radius. The test weights shall be
placed at the centre of the cover system (or at least 4ft, but not
exceeding 6ft) from the edge of the swimming pool. The above test
shall not cause damage to allow any of the test objects or the
persons to pass through the cover. The Aquamatic Cover Systems have,
in fact, been independently tested by two testing agencies including
Underwriters Laboratories to exceed the above listed standard.

 | TOP TRACK With its smooth contour and elegant lines the
Top Track offers you the facility of a cover system on any shape
pool. Top Track is placed on the surface of the surrounding deck
area, adjacent to the pool, or preferably, on the pool coping edge
stones. The smooth contour design alleviates tripping and toe
stubbing hazards!
| | | | FLUSH TRACK Flush Track can also be installed on new,
existing or shaped pools. This track extrusion is designed to be
installed flush with either the paving surround or coping edge
stones.
| | | | CONCRETE INWALL TRACK Concrete Inwall Tracking is ideal
for indoor and outdoor pool installations. The receptor is installed
at the time of the pool construction on top of the pool wall.
Copings or tiles are placed directly on top of the track receptor.
| | | | RETRO CONCRETE INWALL TRACK Ideal for existing pool
construction. Prevents the need for reducing the lower bond wall.
| | | | LINER INWALL TRACK Pioneered by Aquamatic, the Liner
Inwall Track is ideal for indoor and outdoor pool installations. The
tracking is installed at the time of the pool construction on top of
the pool wall/panel. The track also incorporates a liner lock
extrusion.
| | | | BOND WALL LINER TRIM End Wall Capping makes a perfect
facia plate for covering the top of the dividing wall that separates
the pit housing construction. Used in conjunction with Liner Inwall
Tracking (see above) it also incorporates a liner lock extrusion.
| | | | STONE LID ADAPTOR FOR INWALL TRACK Stone Lid Adaptor
Extrusion is designed for an Aquamatic installation where a 2”/50mm
stone pit housing lid is required. All pit housing lids have a
maximum lid depth of 20mm.The Stone Lid Adaptor Extrusion increases
the height tolerance above the Inwall Track Receptor to enable a lid
depth of up to 2”/50mm
| | | | PIT TRIM Installed on the front edge of the pit
construction to enable the cover to run smoothly when entering pit
housing.
| | | | CONCRETE BOND WALL TRIM Installed on the front and rear
edge of the lower bond wall (pit housing dividing wall). The bond
wall trim has been designed to receive mosaic tiles so as to create
a rounded contour which enable the fabric material to enter pit the
housing smoothly and drag free.
| | | | | | |
 | Fibreglass Pit Housing 'Fibreglass Pit Housings' are
available for your pool installer to use instead of building a
concrete block pit housing. G.R.P housings are ideal for
installation on existing pools especially where pool plumbing lines
have been installed near the surface. There is no cost saving using
this method, but G.R.P pits are easier to clean, offer a better a
better appearance and can be used to speed up installation time!
| | | | Hanger Bracket Hanger Bracket for GRP Pits are also
availible.
| | | | Duel Hanger Bracket Lid Support System (Exclusive) A ‘dual
hanger bracket’ is used to ensure extra stability and support
throughout the lid system. An additional ’hanger bracket’ is placed
approximately every 2ft/600mm on the rear of the concrete block pit
housing. Using this unique fixing method enables the installer to
guarantee lid stability and height adjustment.

| | | | 20 & 50mm Tiled, Coping or Paved Lids 20 & 50mm Tiled,
Coping or Paved Lids are available to enable you to use the
surrounding deck materials e.g. paving or coping stones. To achieve
a 50mm lid depth (inwall track systems only) an ‘adaptor extrusion’
is required (see page 4 for details). Custom made lids also
available.
| | | | Polymer Lids Polymer Lids are available in six different
colours; Charcoal grey, Battleship grey, Terracotta, Brown, Buff and
Off white. Polymer lids are manufactured from 100% virgin, high
impact, Polystyrene Resin. There is no maintenance required with
this lid system.
| | | | Hardwood Lids (Yellow Balau) are imported from Malaysia.
Untreated, the Yellow Balau has a life expectancy of approximately
10 years. All hardwood lids are supplied in their natural colour
(pale reddish-brown). Occasional treatment is recommended to retain
the natural beauty and longevity of the wood finish.

Almost every outdoor swimming pool that is built in this country has
either 9” or 12” white coping stones. Again,
exclusively designed for Aquamatic, Groove Coping Stones replace the
ordinary coping that are normally supplied with a pool kit. Groove
Coping has a pre-formed gully built into the front edge of the
coping that receives the flush track. Instead of having to place the
track behind the coping, the track is now installed at the front
edge of the coping. The main benefit of using the Groove Coping
system, is that 95% of the cover material is in contact with the
water. Having more of the fabric material in contact with the water
will result in less friction which means less wear & tear and
quicker opening and closing times. The other benefits to consider
are:- 1. There is no extra work for the pool installer to do, as he
would have to lay coping stones anyway! 2. There is no requirement
to purchase extra Trackstones! Groove Coping is a stock item and
white in colour. Coping can also be colour matched to your paving
colours. *Surcharge applicable to custom made colours, allow 3 weeks
for manufacture. If you are considering replacing your existing
coping for new Groove Copings please bear in mind, most conventional
coping are 2.5” thick at the front edge and taper down to 1.5” at
the back edge. Groove Coping maintain the same depth (2”) throughout
the stone therefore, the new Groove Coping may be 0.5” higher than
your existing paving levels (consult your pool dealer for advice, as
a tile adhesive may be used to help reduce coping height).
| | Groove Coping Stones | | | | Rollback Coping Stones Designed to reduce ‘wear & tear’
and enable the cover to enter the pit housing in a smooth operation.
| | | | Textured Coping Stones Installed on the pit housing
dividing wall to reduce ‘deck drag’ on larger pool installations.

| | | | Track Stones Exclusively designed for Aquamatic, our Flush
Track Receptor Stones are for installation on new or existing pools.
They enable the pool builder to install a pre-fabricated stone that
has been designed to receive our Flush Tracking. Installing the
receptor stones ensures that correct alignment and exact fit is
achieved.Flush Track Receptor Stones are available from stock in
standard paving colours:- Buff, Grey, Terracotta, York Brown and
White to match most Coping Stones. Track Stones can also be colour
matched to match your paving colours. *Custom made colours are a
free of charge service! Allow 2-3 weeks for manufacture.

 | Travel Limit System (exclusive) Standard equipment on the
Aquamatic Cover is the ‘Travel Limit System’ that incorporates
pressure relief valves that will stop the cover when it meets an
obstruction or comes to the end of its travel. When the cover
touches the end of the pool it must stop. This creates fluid
over-pressure causing the fluid to bypass back to a built-in
reservoir which in time ceases to drive the hydraulic motors. This
hydraulic system is unique to Aquamatic.
| | | | Duel Hydraulic Motors (exclusive) The fundamental
difference between Aquamatic and other safety cover systems
available on the market today is the drive system. Aquamatic
incorporate a ‘dual hydraulic drive system’ consisting of two
independent hydraulic motors, one to close the cover and another to
open the cover. Having two independent motors is substantially more
powerful therefore able to cope with the ‘drag factor’ that is often
associated with pools built in the UK. The hydraulic drive system
has a 20 year pro-rata warranty. Beware of other cover systems
claiming to be have a hydraulic system, many of them use only one
motor incorporating a clutch/gear system that is prone to
maintenance problems and lower torque performance.
| | | | Reinforced Hydraulic Hoses All hydraulic runs over 80ft
are automatically converted to steel reinforced hoses to prevent
hydraulic back pressure ensuring a smooth and trouble free operation.
