Frequently Asked Questions

How long do covers last/what is the warranty on a cover?

Aquamatic fabric material has a life expectancy of approximately 7-10 years, and all have a seven-year pro-rated warranty. This can vary based on how regular the cover is serviced and maintained.

How often does a cover need to be serviced?

We would suggest that the cover is serviced every 12-18 months; this ensures the running of the cover can be maintained and keeps the fabric in better condition for longer.

Is my pool cover considered a heat retention cover?

Yes. Slatted covers are better for heat retention due to the air between the slat and the waters surface. Fabric covers can be but only during the warmer months, as convection can occur during the colder months with the heat from the pool transferring through the fabric which comes into contact with the surface of the water.

Will my cover be affected by heat/how high can the temperature be in the pool whilst a cover is on?

Most swimming pool covers are designed to withstand high temperatures and function as effective insulators. The optimum water temperature recommended for pools in the UK is around 26°C-30°C. When covered, water temperature shouldn’t exceed this level.
