Above or below ground steel plunge pool shell system
Comprising of a galvanised steel modular insulated panel system, featuring the Ultraflow propulsion counter current unit or can be adapted to accommodate any other type of swimjet!
Galvanised steel panel sections simply bolted together to form the walls that are secured to a prepared 150mm depth reinforced concrete base.
All panels are pre-cut to receive all the required pool shell fittings that connects to the filtration system. A pattern PVC liner membrane is applied to form a watertight sealed structure.

FAQs
How much does it cost to install a pool resistance system?
A realistic budget would be 2-2.5 times the value of the pool kit. We would recommend an approved pool dealer attends your location to ascertain site and installation conditions.
What maintenance is required?
As the motor is fully submersed in pool water we recommend replacing the low-cost sacrificial anode on an annual basis to protect the motor housing.
How much does it cost to run?
Only 1500 Watts of power is required to run the Ultraflow.
How does it compare to other propulsion systems?
We advocate booking a trial swim to enable you to make your own comparisons. Your purchase should be based on an individual swimming experience for the whole family. It is important that the correct type of flow and speed meet your requirements.
How do I access or change the motor in the future?
Once the water level has been reduced, the complete motor system can be removed from the GRP housing.
How is the Ultraflow controlled?
The Ultraflow is supplied with a IP68 rated RF remote control unit with a 100m range (dependant on site conditions), utilising a hand held key fob waterproof up to 1m depth. An optional Piezo LED button control is also available for pool wall (concrete pools only) or deck mounted installations. Simply press the button to operate the three standard swim speeds.
Are training swimming pools worth it?
A training swimming pool is a worthy investment if you, or your customers, take their swimming and health seriously and want to improve. Training swimming pools take up much less space than conventional pools, making them easier to install and maintain than a traditional lap pool.
What is the cheapest resistance swimming pool?
The cheapest way to obtain a resistance swimming pool from scratch is to purchase an all-in-one Ultra Swim Pool System. This kit includes the pool shell, as well as all necessary fittings and propulsion system for less than £18,000 (excl. VAT). If you already have a swimming pool in place, then you may be able to retroactively fit a swim jet or propulsion system.
Are training swimming pools noisy?
Whilst both the motor and water filtration system do produce noise it becomes insignificant as the noise of the person who is swimming offsets any background noise. All electrical propulsion systems (excluding hydraulic motor systems) operate with a subtle purr that many find surprisingly quiet.
Can resistance swimming pools use salt water?
Unfortunately not, many manufacturers no longer offer a warranty if a saltwater system is applied in order to ensure the longevity of your resistance swimming pool.
Do resistance swimming pools have heaters?
Heating needs to be purchased separately as there are different types of heaters on the market. A 3-4.5kW electric heat will be suitable or a 9-12kW electric heat pump is the most cost-effective way of heating the pool from May-September. Talk to your dealer for further advice.
How warm do resistance swimming pools get?
Resistance swimming pools can be heated with a wide range of pool heaters, so most pool operators heat the pool between 25-29 deg C. Max temperature for liner pools is 32 deg C.
How long will a swimming training pool last?
The Ultraswim pool panels have a 10-year warranty but are expected to last in excess of 25 years. Liners will need replacing every 7-10 years depending on water chemistry and usage.
How much space does a resistance swimming pool need?
The Ultraswim pool measures 5 x 2 x 1.2m but you will need to add 250-300mm to each dimension for excavation.
